Tasting Notes/Label Text: Our “Danish Imperial Series” is an ever expanding series of imperial strength beers, each honoring a different individual from Denmark’s long imperial history. “King Sweyn Forkbeard” was one of Denmark’s most powerful viking kings, ruling parts of Norway and Great Britain during his life. To honor him, we at Fanø have brewed this powerful barley wine. British malts provide a deep amber color and notes of toasted caramel and raisins. A generous dose of Citra, Cascade, and Green Bullet hops help to balance this impressively large malt bill.
